Bob Rosenfield

Bob Rosenfield (b. Los Angeles) is a wood artist based in Long Beach, CA who has been working with wood since 1998. During the 1970s and 80s, Rosenfield studied ceramics at the Palos Verdes Art Center in Palos Verdes, California, where he formalized his technical and aesthetic understanding of clay, which was augmented in the next years by an apprenticeship with Ralph Bacerra at Otis Parsons School of Art in Los Angeles. Rosenfield’s ceramic works have been exhibited at several galleries and many are included in private collections. Always interested in the beauty and mystique of wood, Rosenfield now focuses solely on working with local and exotic woods to create unique sculptural forms. His wood art pieces have been exhibited at gallery shows and awarded prizes in multiple juried exhibitions.
