Forrest Silberstein is a California native who moved to Long Beach in 2016. 

Every piece of artwork he creates begins with a trip to the hardware store to pick up materials to build the wood panels for his artwork.

His primary medium is oil but he often incorporates elements of metal or multiple physical layers for shadow box effects.  It is always exciting/terrifying to take a power drill to a piece of artwork that took so much time to create.  

Inspiration comes from everywhere but most often a turn a phrase or an interesting object will spawn a sequence of creative thought that will translate to his artwork.
